POSITION FOR SALE Position for Sale is a four-piece political rock band composed of Jose Hernani on vocals, Alicito Balanay on guitars, Raymart Lopez on drums, and Mykel T. on bass. Jose, Raymart, and Mykel formed the band in May 2007 during the elections. They were members of the Kabataan Partylist and decided to form the band as a commentary to politicians buying their positions. Hence, the name of their band. They used to cover songs from American rock band Rage Against the Machine, and named it as their major influence. At the moment, they play nothing but their original compositions and have live recordings of them. If one wants to catch this band, one can catch them on organization gigs like the annual Musikang bayan gig, and fortunately, they are also invited on other indie local gigs in local bars like the Blowing up Bar and in Taboan, MTS.
